Work Experience:

Graduated from the University of Zimbabwe with a BL (Hons) and an LL.B in 1989 and was admitted as a legal practitioner in February 1990 and admitted to partnership in April 1993.  His specialties are labour law and criminal law.  He has appeared in a number of high profile civil and criminal cases in the High Court and the Supreme Court in recent years.  Over recent years he has gained considerable expertise and experience in corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, and acts frequently in regard to such matters.

Work Experience :

Prosper is a registered Legal Practitioner, Notary Public and Conveyancer who holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Degree from the University of Zimbabwe. Prosper commenced practice in January 2016 with a law firm in Harare where he had a general practice. He briefly left private practice in March 2017 and undertook a graduate traineeship with a local bank from April 2017 to December 2017.

In January 2018 he joined a law firm in Harare where he practiced until February 2020 when he left to join Mtetwa and Nyambirai. Prosper has gained valuable experience as both a practicing lawyer and as in house counsel which experience makes him appreciate the nuances of both roles in the execution of clients mandates. Prosper’s interests lie in banking and finance law, drafting and reviewing of contracts and commercial agreements, commercial law, labour law and general litigation (civil and criminal).
