Miss Maphosa obtained her Law Honours Degree at the University of Zimbabwe in 1999 and has been in private practice since. She is an agile and sturdy lawyer whose practice spans from specialized criminal defence to civil litigation with a definite bias towards International Corporate Law and Finance, serving both local and international clients including international financial institutions and local parastatals. She has handled extensive conveyancing, real estate and property law and has served as conveyancer and counsel in several development projects and property sales.

She is affiliated with the Institute of Bankers Zimbabwe. She sits on several Boards and Trusts including Hillbrass P/L (Kintyre Estates), Chengetedzai Depository Company Limited – (as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Risk, Compliance and Business Conduct Board Committee), African Sun Limited, Marvel Financial Services (Pvt) Ltd (Chairman), Tumaini Trust (Chairman), S.A.I.D Trust (Int) and she has acted in an advisory capacity for ZIMRA Board.
