Effort Jera, who is also the Managing Partner in the firm, holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree and a Master of Laws (LLM) Degree both obtained from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ). He holds a Diploma in Insurance obtained in 2008 from the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe (IIZ). He also holds a Master of Business Leadership from Calvary University (UK).

He also holds a Certificate in Corporate Finance obtained from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ). In addition to practicing law for 13 years, Effort has insurance experience having worked for one of the leading short term insurance companies in Zimbabwe. Effort is a tenacious litigator particularly in the area of civil law litigation in both the Magistrates’ Court and the Superior Courts.

He also has vast experience in labour law and commercial arbitration and is currently the partner responsible for conveyancing, civil and labour litigation and commercial arbitrations. He has also handled several high profile cases as a disciplinary authority in many labour matters. Effort is also a registered Estate Administrator with the Council of Estate Administrators and Insolvency Practitioners and a member of the Insolvency and Restructuring association of Zimbabwe (IRAZ).
