Established on the 1st June 2016 , Atukwa Attorneys is a firm of young vibrant lawyers who are committed to providing our clients with comprehensive quality solutions to their wide range of legal concerns. Our team offers tailor-made solutions to companies and individuals in all areas of commercial law. Our services include registration of companies, registration of trademarks and patents, drafting and review of contracts, provision of legal opinions and commercial litigation. We promote amicable resolution of commercial disputes through conciliation and arbitration mechanisms.
Conveyancing & Property Law
We pride ourselves in the guidance we offer during disposal of immovable property. We render legal advice to both the sellers and purchasers of immovable properties to enable the parties to make informed decisions. Our team provides advice on ownership rights, general compliance issues and also conducts due diligence for prospective purchasers of immovable properties. Our conveyancing practice includes estate, divorce, donation and sale transfers. We also register mortgage bonds. We also assist clients in enforcement of their property rights.
Labour Law
We offer a breadth and depth of knowledge and experience in labour law in Zimbabwe. Individual, private and public-sector clients, retain Atukwa Attorneys for strategic advice and litigation pertaining to contractual and compensation issues, dismissals, occupational health and safety, union activities and collective agreements.
Notarial Services
We offer a wide range of notarial services which include registration of change of names, drafting of antenuptial contracts, authenticating documents for local and international use. We draft and lodge notarial deeds which deeds include trust deeds and notarial bonds.
Insurance Law
We provide advice and representation to policyholders, brokers and insurers. We routinely prosecute and defend insurance claims.
Family / Personal Law
We have extensive experience in handling matrimonial matters with expertise in contested and uncontested divorce, maintenance, custody and guardianship and all family law related issues. We are committed to satisfying the unique objectives of each client by providing solutions customized to individual needs.
Estate Administration
We offer legal advice and assist in estate planning. Our services include drafting and registration of wills and trusts. We have the understanding and expertise to assist our clients to find solutions to issues involving deceased estates and contesting wills. We are registered as Executors with the Council of Estate Administrators and Insolvency Practitioners Zimbabwe.
Debt Recovery
We offer debt collection services to both individual and corporate clients. We strive to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with our clients by providing cost effective and efficient recovery services.
Insolvency , Corporate Rescue & Restructuring
We provide legal services and advice in insolvency, corporate rescue and restructuring in line with the provisions of the Insolvency Act [Chapter 6:07]. Our in-depth understanding of the Act enables our team to offer legal advice on how corporate rescue proceedings should be implemented. If the corporate rescue initiative is not successful, our team is able to assist directors, stakeholders, liquidators and creditors during the liquidation process.
