Work Experience :
Archford Rutanhira is a Partner with over 15 years experience. He specializes in civil litigation in the superior courts of Zimbabwe focusing mainly on labour, commercial, contract, banking and corporate matters.
Archford also has in depth experience in employment contract drafting, employment disciplinary hearings and drafting employment codes of conduct. He has gained extensive experience and carved a niche in handling collective bargaining agreements, collective job actions something which he has done for some of the largest corporations in the country especially in the sugar production and milling, pharmaceutical and laboratory and the mining industries.
Furthermore, he has negotiated and drafted agreements in the telecoms industry, and for large scale farming joint ventures in Zimbabwe and also has experience in the registration of Trusts.
He is a board member and country representative of the International Fund For Animal Welfare Zimbabwe (the Zimbabwean chapter of the United States of America based International Fund For Animal Welfare) as well as the Medical Research Council of Zimbabwe.

Work Experience:
Marshia obtained her BA (Law) and LLB from Rhodes University, South Africa. Her practice experience covers a variety of corporate transactions and litigation. However, her areas of interest are corporate and commercial law, tax law and mining law. Having joined the firm in February 2018 as an intern, she has developed a keen interest in corporate and commercial law, tax law, mining law and intellectual property law. During her spare time, Marshia enjoys a good game of tennis, travelling and embarking on adrenaline filled adventures.

Work Experience:
Byron is the head of the Property and Conveyancing Department. He is one of the most experienced and skilled property and conveyancing lawyers in Zimbabwe today with over thirty years experience. He handles a portfolio which includes several banks, building societies and large property owning companies. He is responsible for the firm’s premises. He is also the head of the Estates Administration Department which specializes in Wills and Deceased Estates Planning and Administration.
He joined Scanlen and Holderness from another legal firm where he learnt the rudiments of conveyancing. He started his career of law in the Attorney General’s Office where he worked for over fourteen years. Byron represents the firm in the National Property Association and sits on the Conveyancing Committee of the Law Society of Zimbabwe which makes recommendations and is influential in conveyancing matters and tariffs in Zimbabwe.

Work Experience:
After graduating from the University of Pretoria, Nellie joined Scanlen and Holderness as an associate in January 2004. In July 2008 she became the third female to be appointed as partner since the inception of Scanlen and Holderness. Over the years she has specialised in Corporate and Commercial law, her main practise areas being in joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, commercial litigation and registration of intellectual property.
Nellie is registered as a conveyancer, an Administrator registered with the Estate Administration Council of Zimbabwe and is also a member of the International Bar Association (IBA). She presently serves as a Non-Executive Board Member of Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe and nominees P/L and MMC Stockbrokers P/L.
Nellie is passionate about the firm’s socio‐corporate responsibilities and has partnered with corporate to provide legal assistsance to low income earning households.
