Civil Matters Mutual Assistance Designated Countries Order 1998

The Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, in terms of subsection (2) of section 3 of the Civil Matters (Mutual Assistance) Act [Chapter 8:02], hereby makes the following order:—

1. Title

This order may be cited as the Civil Matters (Mutual Assistance) (Designated Countries) Order, 1998.

2. Designated Countries

The countries specified in the Schedule are declared to be designated countries for the purposes of this Act.

3. Obedience to certain subpoenas compulsory

Obedience to a subpoena that has been issued in South Africa and endorsed for service in Zimbabwe in terms of subsection (1) of section 3 of the Act shall be compulsory.
